ELECTROLINE UPGRADES ITS TEST POINT SELECTOR TO SERIES 100

Test Point Selector upgrade incorporates
frequency-agile technology for greater flexibility

Montreal, Canada - June 15, 2005 - Electroline Equipment Inc. has released an upgraded version of the Electroline Test Point Selector (TPS) models TPS-MS-100 and TPS-SL-100, which are part of its CLEARPath ingress management product line.

The TPS-MS-100 now incorporates the benefits of agile frequency control over three different ranges, from 46 MHz to 162 MHz, offering the possibility of changing the control frequency to accommodate bandwidth usage requirements. The new TPS design has been carefully undertaken to ensure full compatibility with existing TPS-MS units as well as TPS-SL units. In fact, operators can mix TPS-SL and TPS-SL-100 units together in the same station, driven by either a TPS-MS or a TPS-MS-100. The existing serial control feature has been migrated to the new platform without any modifications.

The new TPS-MS-100 and TPS-SL-100 are also fully supported by Locator, Electroline's Web-based ingress management software. Locator automatically scans each input on a TPS and provides all the features for setting individual thresholds on a per node basis, as well as viewing current or past traces from a Web browser.

The TPS units are part of the broader CLEARPath ingress management solution from Electroline. As Carlene Gardner, Product Line Manager at Electroline Equipment Inc. explains, “We believe that with the stricter requirements that VoIP has brought to the industry, operators will be spending more time on troubleshooting return path ingress in order to keep the service up and running.
