ELECTROLINE DEMONSTRATES NEW DOWNLOADABLE FEATURE FOR THE HMS TRANSPONDER WITH EMBEDDED DOCSIS® MODEM
View the QAM Constellation remotely from new and existing status monitoring HMS Transponders with Embedded DOCSIS® Modems
Montreal, Canada - June 15, 2005 - Electroline Equipment Inc. will be demonstrating a new added value function for its DHT series of status monitoring HMS Transponders with Embedded DOCSIS® Modems. The transponder will measure the performance of the QAM signal as it is received at a standby power supply or other transponder location and transmit this data back to the remote workstation for display and analysis.
There are tens of thousands of Electroline transponders in operation in the field that can be downloaded with this added function. Electroline takes advantage of the processing power in the DOCSIS® modem to provide added value functions that can be downloaded into existing transponders or included with new transponders.
In the future, look for more added value functions offered to Electroline customers buying DOCSIS®-based element management products. Electroline has focused on supplying valuable tools to enable cable operators to provide high network availability for their VoIP service rollouts.
