ELECTROLINE AWARDED CABLELABS® CERTIFICATION FOR DOCSIS® 2.0
CABLE MODEM EMBEDDED IN AN HMS STATUS MONITORING TRANSPONDER
Second-generation transponder built on DOCSIS 2.0 platform.
Montreal, Canada - December 12, 2005 - Electroline Equipment Inc. announced that it has reached the next major milestone in the evolution of its Network Management Tools. On Friday, December 9, 2005 Electroline was awarded CableLabs® Certification status for its DOCSIS® 2.0 cable modem embedded in its HMS Status Monitoring Transponder. This is Electroline's second generation Transponder based on a DOCSIS® platform. As leading supplier of these types of transponders, Electroline has delivered tens of thousand first generation transponders throughout many locations in North America.
The new Transponder has a smaller footprint and supports monitoring of legacy and HMS power supplies. It is an open standard product that implements: (1) DOCSIS® ; (2) SNMP; and (3) SCTE HMS. This provides unparalleled advantage over the more traditional proprietary transponders. This solution can be managed by any SNMP based network management software and provides the customer with choice of a best in class solution. Electroline will support any organization wanting to interface with the transponder for network management applications.
