Description
The
Reporter software works in conjunction with Electroline's Addressable
System. It provides a detailed analysis of the operational savings that
are generated from implementing addressable technology in cable networks.
Reporter
includes a download manager software and a churn analysis software. The
Electroline Control Unit IV receives customer status transactions from
the cable billing system and stores a transaction log in an internal RAM
expansion card. The download manager software downloads the transaction
log from Electroline's Control Unit IV and stores it in a database. The
churn analysis software analyzes the data to generate detailed reports
for information such as churn rate and truck rolls saved. In addition,
the Reporter package contains a web server software that allows multiple
users to access the Reporter computer system from remote locations.
The
Reporter software package consists of the following hardware and software
components:
- A Control
Unit IV with RAM expansion card;
- A workstation
that runs the download manager and churn analysis software;
- An Intranet
or Internet distribution network.
