Montreal, Canada — November, 10, 2011 — Electroline will be showing a new drop amplifier at the 2011 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in Atlanta, GA. It incorporates a return path gate which virtually disconnects the in home network from the retune path when no signals are being transmitted from the subscriber's CPE. This effectively blocks the noise that enters the return network and accumulated at the receivers in the Headend. A patent pending technology is implemented and provides the fast gating necessary to operate in the burst mode return transmission system typical of HFC subscriber networks.
